LASK has signed several experienced attacking players for the 2026 season, including returning forward Tea Krznaric, who has netted 21 goals in 42 league and cup matches since summer 2022. At the same time, Miriam Sterrer returns from FSV Mainz 05 to Linz, swapping the Hofmann stadium for LASK's home ground. The side currently sits third in the Frauen‑Bundesliga with 37 points from 22 games (11 wins, 4 draws, 7 losses), just one point behind leaders Sturm Graz.
Which players are strengthening LASK?
Tea Krznaric, a Croatian A‑international, brings two league titles from the lT1 O. Ö. Liga and the 2nd Women’s Bundesliga, plus the O. Ö. Ladies‑Cup win in 2023. After spells at ZNK Split and SKN St. Pölten, she returns to Linz to lead the attack. Joining her is Dayna Tuppinger, an ÖFB‑U19 international who, after SV Neulengbach dissolved in summer 2025, takes on a new challenge in Linz. Her U‑17 record includes 12 caps and two goals, and she scored against Estonia in the U‑19 qualifying tournament 2025.
Who arrives from SPG BW Linz/Kleinmünchen?
Miriam Sterrer, former captain of SPG BW Linz/Kleinmünchen, won the Regionalliga and 2nd Women’s Bundesliga titles with FSV Mainz 05 over the past two seasons. She now heads back to Linz to reorganise the midfield. Additional signings are Estonian international Katrin Kirpu, Croatian Antea Guvo and Hungarian Blanka Bokor, adding an international flavor to the squad.
What does this mean for the campaign?
The new arrivals not only add depth but also bring championship and cup experience. With 32 goals scored and 30 conceded (+2 goal difference) this season, the attack is already potent, and the newcomers could push the goal margin even higher. The narrow gap to the leaders – just one point behind Sturm Graz – makes every additional goal vital for the title push.
What lies ahead?
Coach Verena Müller says the blend of returnees and international signings makes the team more adaptable. She plans to use Krznaric as the focal point up front while Sterrer controls the tempo in midfield. Upcoming fixtures against SV Neulengbach and SKN St. Pölten will test the impact of the transfers before the title showdown later in the year.
