Lask hosts SK Rapid on the first Sunday of Advent at the Raiffeisen Arena. Lask aims to continue their winning streak under head coach Dietmar Kühbauer and overtake second-placed SK Rapid. A win could see Lask leapfrog the Eurofighters in the table. In the first leg, captain Sascha Horvath and Co. celebrated a deserved 2-0 away win in Hütteldorf and started an impressive winning streak. Dietmar Kühbauer will face his former club SK Rapid again on Sunday, where he previously worked as a coach and played 184 games as a professional. Goalkeeper Lukas Jungwirth said: „We are currently in a very good phase. I think that since the Rapid game, we have been able to bring what we can onto the pitch“. Lask goes into the match with six consecutive wins and as fourth-placed team. However, it will again be a tough task to achieve a seventh consecutive win. The Hütteldorfer have changed their coaching team for the match against Lask. After the 1-4 defeat on Thursday in the UEFA Conference League against Rakow Czestochowa, the club parted ways with coach Peter Stöger and his assistant Thomas Sageder. Stefan Kulovits will take over as interim coach. Lask head coach Dietmar Kühbauer said: „Of course, a lot has happened at Rapid, but that doesn't affect us, we have to focus on ourselves. The fact that our opponent hasn't performed well recently doesn't mean anything for Sunday. Rapid is still a good team that we respect a lot. Our goal is still to show a good performance and win the game.“ Lask is still unbeaten against Rapid in the new Raiffeisen Arena on the Linzer Gugl. Lask wants to use its home strength to beat SK Rapid. A win could improve Lask's chances of finishing second. However, Lask also has to be careful with player injuries and find a good lineup. Lask has shown in recent games that it is a strong team and wants to prove this against SK Rapid as well.
