Lask coach Joao Sacramento left the club after just three months in September 2025. The Portuguese had previously worked as an assistant coach under Jose Mourinho and was employed by Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, and AS Roma. Sacramento was only 37 years old when he took over the position at Lask, but his tenure was overshadowed by a disciplinary incident within the coaching team. The club and Sacramento terminated the contract by mutual agreement after the club parted ways with an employee. Sacramento drew the consequences out of loyalty to the employee and resigned. Since then, the former assistant coach of star coach Jose Mourinho has been without a club. In March, Sacramento finally found a new job and has since been strengthening the coaching staff of the Moroccan national team as an assistant to head coach Mohamed Ouahbi. As a result, the former Lask coach is also part of the support team for the North Africans at the current World Cup. Morocco will face Brazil in Group C on June 14, Scotland on June 20, and Haiti on June 25 to conclude the group stage. For Sacramento, the stint at Lask was his first as a head coach. Previously, he worked as an assistant coach, among others, at Paris Saint-Germain, Tottenham Hotspur, and AS Roma. Sacramento will work as an assistant to Mohamed Ouahbi at the World Cup and hopes to be able to use his experiences from his time at Lask and other clubs.
